My Cricut Craft Room - My Imagine-ation Monday

Happy Monday Crafters,

I hope everyone had a great weekend and a chance to craft.  Today is My Imagine-ation Monday at My Cricut Craft Room and this is the card I created using Kate's Kitchen.  **Enabler Alert - I just bought this cartridge from Erica at My Cricut Craft Room.  She recently opened a new webstore and I bought Kate's Kitchen for $19 which is an amazing deal.  This cartridge is now on Erica's webstore for $12...Can you believe it?  Here is the link to the webstore http://www.shop.ericascraftroom.com/ .
You should definitely check it out.

Today I created an A2 size card (5.5 x 4.25).  The red mat was cut at 4 x 5.25 and ran through the cuddlebug.  The Cricut Cuts from Kate's Kitchen are as follows:  I love these little cherries from page 20.  I chose the combined image and cut at 4".  Then I chose the layer feature and selected the cherries on the stem (cut at Rel 4") to pop dot on the combined image.  I also selected the two cherries twice for a total of 4 cherry faces (cut at Rel 2.7").  My last cut on the front of the card is a border from Elegant Edges (Border feature, button 11 on overlay, cut at 1.2") and I flood filled with the Cherry pattern on page 40.  My last cut can be found on page 26 (cut at Rel 5") and is on the inside of my card.

Supplies:
Paper:  Bazzill Cardstock (White), The Paper Company Ice Cream Social
Stamp:  Close To My Heart (Pair a Phrase), Desert Sand Ink
Cuddlebug: QuicKutz Embossing Folder (Rings)
Recollections: Foam Adhesive

My Cricut Craft Room - My Imagine-ation Monday

Happy Monday...today is My Imagine-ation Monday at My Cricut Craft Room.  For today's creation I made an A2 size card (4.25 x 5.5).  I made this card for my sister as she has decided to go to Massage Therapy School and I wanted to send her an encouraging card.  I know she is going to do great.
The pink and turqoise background papers are from my stash...I ran the pink paper through my Cuttlebug using the Stylized Flowers embossing folder.  For my first cut I used Hannah Montana using feature button Daddy's Girl/Shift and selecting button 50 on the overlay, then flood filled with the pattern on page 43 from the Best Friends cartridge.  This is cut at 3.5".  For the Sparrow I used the same feature button which is button 59 flood filled with patterns from pages 37 & 44.  Cut at 3".  My last cut is from Straight From the Nest using the Phrase feature button.  It is button number 7 flood filled with one of the coordinating colors on the Best Friends cartridge.  This is cut at 1.6".  To finish off my card I added some ribbon and stickles.

My Cricut Craft Room - Would you guess Wednesdays

I hope everyone is having a great week...we are half way there. :)

Today is Would you Guess Wednesday at My Cricut Craft Room.  What does this mean you ask?  On Wednesday's the design team is challenged to use only the Feature Keys (these are the six keys on the left of the overlay) on any Cricut Cartridge.

For my project today I made a 5x5 card using two Cartridges, Elegant Edges and Straight from the Nest.
I used the Gypsy for all of my cuts.  On the Elegant Edges cut I used Feature Key Oblong, button 27 on the overlay, cut at 4.75.  On Straight from the Nest cut's I used the Feature Key Border for the owls, button 3 on the overlay, cut at 1.08 and Feature Key Phrase, button 40 on the overlay, cut at 2.69.  I inked the edges of my card, added some doodling, adhesive pearls, and googly eyes and there you have it.

Supplies:
Paper:  Recollections Kraft Cardstock, Cosmo Cricket (Dutch Girl: Audrey)
Pen:  Sakura Gelly Roll (White)
Queen & Co - Adhesive Pearls
Googly Eyes from Michael's

My Cricut Craft Room - My Imagine-ation Monday

I hope everyone had an excellent weekend and is having a fine Monday.  Today I have a A2 size card (4.25 x 5.5) using my Imagine, which is what Monday is about over at My Cricut Craft Room.  For my card I used the Best Friends Imagine Cartridge.   For the first cut I used the square with the rounded corner from the stock images that come with the Imagine machine.  This is sized at 5" and flood filled with the pattern from page 43. I love this Tweet bird cut found on page13.  I used the layer feature so I can add dimension.  I embossed the base layer with the Cuttlebug using the flower folder that came with the Cuttlebug.  Then I used foam adhesive to pop up the bird and You're Tweet sign.  I finished up my card with stickles and some doodled stitching.

Supplies:
Paper:  Recollections Kraft Cardstock, Bazzill Cardstock (White)
Ribbon:  Celebrate It (Brown)
Stickles - Cotton Candy
Pen: Sakura Gelly Roll (White)

My Cricut Craft Room - Festive Friday

Happy Friday Crafters!
It is Festive Friday at My Cricut Craft Room.  Wow...can you believe it's already September?  Before we know it Chirstmas will be here.  This will be my first year sending out Christmas Cards so I am so excited to get sarted on these early.  Today's creation is a 5x5 card using Jolly Holidays Cricut Lite Cartridge.  The Santa is the first button on the overlay and he is cut at 4.5".  I used flocking powder on all of the white cuts.  To adhere the flocking powder I used a Glue Pad and applied a large amount of the flocking powder.  I used a tool that catches the extra powder that has a cork plug.  You just undo the cork plug to put the excess powder back.  This is a great tool to use with embossing powders also.  You can't really see the flocking powder in the picture, but it turned out really great.  It's a nice added texture.  I added some stitching and rhinestones and there you have it.  Thanks for taking the time to check out my card today.  Please click Here to see what the other Design Team Members created for this Festive Friday.

My Cricut Craft Room 100 Cricut Cartridge Blog Hop

Happy Saturday...I hope everyone is having a great start to this Labor Day Weekend.

Welcome to My Cricut Craft Room's 100 Cricut Cartridge Blog Hop...this is my first time participating in a blog hop so I am super excited.  You should have come from Jen R if not please start at the begining http://mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com/  if not please start at the beginning.
On this Blog Hop you will see 100 different Cricut Cartridges used.

For my first creation today I made a 5.5x5.5 card using Hello Kitty Greetings, Storybook and Better Together (Imagine cartridge).  The cuts are as follows:
  • Hello Kitty Greetings (Page 39 cut at 4.5).  I flood filled Hello Kitty's dress and bow layer with a pattern from Better Together (Page 42) and the ballon layers were flood filled with coordinating colors in the Better Together Color Palette.  I then embossed these with the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder.
  • Storybook (Page 75 - Function Key - Accent Frame - Shift - cut at 5")  This shape was flood filled with the pattern from Better together (page 38).
  • Storybook (Page 71 - Function Key - Accent Blackout - cut at 1.5 x 2) and I stamped my sentiment in that shape (the sentiment is from My Creative Time Stamps - Many Greetings).  I then cut this same shape at 4.5 x 2.5 to go on the inside of my card.  I added some stitching and all done.
Now for Mini Monsters.  One of my Besties asked me to help her decorate for her son's third birthday party and he wanted a Monster theme.  This was perfect because I just got Mini Monsters and I couldn't wait to use it.  I made a couple projects to help decorate for the birthday party.

Mini Monsters Birthday Banner
All of the monsters for the banner were cut at 8" and the letters are from A Child's Year cut at 3.31".  On the Gypsy I used the Hide Countour feature so the eyes wouldn' cut so I could use googly eyes.  I then attached the monsters to 2.5" Celbrate It Basic Ribbon that says Happy Birthday.  They were attached to the side without the words and then the ribbon was flipped so you can see the Happy Birthday on the ends.

Mini Monsters Goodie Bags
The orange/green goodie bag was cut at 5.71"...this size I was able to cut two monsters on the mat.  The blue/orange goodie bag was cut at 6.18"...this size only allowed one monster per mat because of the handles.

Birthday boy Landon biting the monster's toe...Isn't this cake absolutely adorable.  This cake was made by Landon's mommy.  I striclty create with paper. LOL  The little monster is tired after his party. :)
