My Cricut Craft Room - My Imagine-ation Monday

Happy Monday!

Today is My Imagine-ation Monday at My Cricut Craft Room.  On Monday's the Design Team does projects using the Imagine, E2, Cricut Mini, and/or Cricut Craft Room.
For today's A2 (5.5 x 4.25) sized card I used my Imagine.
I made this for Best Friend for Valentine's Day. :)

It's a pretty simple card today using Best Friends Imagine Cartridge.  I used the image from page 15, cut at 3.8...I used the layers function and deleted the little girl that normally prints with this image.  I then used the heart on the stock images that come on the imagine and flood filled it with the pattern from page 41, cut at 1.  The off white image is also from the stock images and flood filled with a color I made on my own using the RGB color wheel. (I don't remember the size)

I added stickles to the word You, but it seems like it just made it harder to read.
I can't wait to give this card to Bestie...she is so great!

My Cricut Craft Room - Scrapbook Friday

Happy Friday my Crafty friends!

TGIF...I am so happy it is friday and today is Scrapbook Friday on My Cricut Craft Room.  The theme for today is Wedding/Love.  My wedding album is a work in progress and I was posting a two page spread once a week before Christmas, but it got moved to the back burner.  I want to get back into this as it has helped me to get my album worked on.  I have been married for three years and am just now getting to it. LOL  So if you want to see the other Wedding pages I have done please go to my
Labels: Scrapbook Pages - Wedding. :)

Here are the images again a little bigger...I wanted to show them side by side above since it is a 2 page LO.  Sorry for the poor quality of the pics...any good tips for taking pics of scrapbook pages would be appreciated. :)
The first page is before the wedding of my husband and his family.

The second page is the Mother's/Grandmother being seated along with my sweet ring bearer and flower girl.

My Cricut Cuts:
I used a fun image from Storybook (Border Feature <Shift> Button 2 on overlay - cut at 4) to make the green background on both pages.
On the first page I grouped two pictures together and added photo corners, which can be found on Straight From the Nest (Corner Feature <Shift> Button 1 on overlay - cut at 1)

Please go to My Cricut Craft Room to see what other wonderful LO's were created today.
Also Erica added a ton of new products to her webstore and there is a 15% discount code.

My Cricut Craft Room - Christmas Countdown

Happy Wednesday,
Today at My Cricut Craft Room is Would you Guess Wednesday or Christmas Countdown.   On the 25th of every month this year Erica is having a Christmas Countdown.  Isn't that so fun?!  I am so excited to get a jump start to Christmas Cards 2012. LOL   I chose to do the Christmas Countdown so I can be that much closer to actually have cards ready this year.

For todays project I made a card using Jolly Holiday's Cricut Lite Cartridge!  I LOVE this cartridge (especially the Jolly Santa's)  This Santa is button 1 on the overlay and I cut him out at 3".  I love the Santa Clause paper I found made by Canvas Corp...it's called St Nick Words on White and Naughty or Nice Stamps on White (I cut my Sentiment from this sheet).  To finish off my card I added some Twine and Glossy Accents on the sentiment and on my Santa's bag, belt, and boots.

Supplies:
Jolly Holidays Cricut Lite Cartridge
Sew Easy Fancy Floss (Baker's Twine Primary)
Glossy Accents
Paper:  Canvas Corp - St Nick Words on White and
Naughty or Nice Stamps on White
Pop Up Dots
Inside of my card
The santa hat is also from the Naughty or Nice paper

I hope you enjoyed my Christmas Card and can't wait to create more Christmas Cards on the 25th of every month.  Please go to http://mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com to see the other wonderful creations made by my DT Sisters.

My Cricut Craft Room - Scrapbook Friday

Today is Scrapbook day at My Cricut Craft Room.
Today we are to use Pink & Black in our LO.  I scrapbooked pictures I had from New Years Eve 2010.  Every year my husband and I spend New Year's Eve with my sister and my Niece and Nephews.  This particular year I didn't get a photo of my oldest nephew, but I did love these pictures and wanted to make a fun LO.

I used two Cricut Cartriges and my Gypsy for this LO.
The Font is from Wild Card and is sized at 1.75 and welded.  I have to say welding is my absolute favorite feature on my Gypsy!
The second cut helps ground the New Years Eve sentiment and is from Storybook - Feature Button Accent Blackout, button 45, cut att 7.35.

One last tip...I put all four pictures on a single mat, but to make the one picture of me and my husband stand out I made a separate mat on that picture and turned it a bit.  I'm happy with how it turned out.

My Cricut Craft Room - Art Philosophy

For today's A2 size card (4.25 x 5.5) I used the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge.  This is such an awesome cartridge and I haven't created anything using the coordinating stamps that come with the cartridge so I thought I would give it a try...I even heat embossed. :)  I love that there are coordinating stamps with this cartridge and that the measurements are listed right by the stamp so it's a no brainer on what size to cut your image.

Cricut Cuts:
Stamp Shape in the background - Button 4 on the overlay, cut at 4
Heart is <Shift> then button 49, cut at 2
The Stamp is button 5 on the overlay, cut at 1

Please go to http://mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com to see what other great creations were made with this must have cartridge.

My Cricut Craft Room - Icon Feature

Happy Wednesday,

We made it through half of the week...wahoo!  Today on My Cricut Craft Room we were asked to use the Icon Feature from any Cricut Cartridge.  The Cricut Cartridge I chose to use is A Child's Year...the hearts are from the Icon Feature <Shift> Button 3 on the overlay, cut at 1.5.  I welded three hearts together using my Gypsy and then I cut one more heart using the purple pattern and pop dotted the middle heart.  The oval scallop was cut using the Monogram Feature, Button 42, cut at 3.7.

Supplies:
Paper: DCWV The All About Girls Cardstock Stack 4.5x6.5
DCWV the All About Girls Stack 4.5x6.5
Sew Easy Floss - Yellow
Zig Pen - Black

Inside of the card
The Sentiment reads: Set your heart on something beautiful!

Design Team members created today.

My Cricut Craft Room - My Imagine-ation Monday

Happy Monday!
Today I have a Valentine's Day card I made for my Sweet Hubby.  Erica at My Cricut Craft Room has mixed things up this next term for her design team...all fun and exciting things to work on.  On Monday's we can create anything using any of the following machines...Imagine, E2, Cricut Mini, and Cricut Craft Room, or we can create anything starting with the letter of the day.  We will be working our way through the alphabet and today's letter is B.  This can be anything from the cartrdige we use (Baby Boutique), the actual image (Bird), or a feature (Borders).

Today's creation fit's in both categories...I created this card on my Imagine using the Baby Boutique and Best Friends Imagine Cartridges.
The heart can be found on Baby Boutique (Page 4, cut at 3.8)  The heart is a pastel pink on the Baby Boutique Cartridge and I wanted a brighter color, so I found this perfect pattern paper (Page 42) on the Best Friends cartridge and flood filled my image using my Gypsy.

If you don't have a Gypsy or don't use Cricut Craft Room you can Cache the Pattern.  If there is a certain pattern you want to use with another cartridge you would put in the cartridge with the pattern you want to use (in my case Best Friends)  You would find the pattern you want to use and hold down that button with your stylus until a window pops up that reads Cache Pattern.  The Imagine will then save that pattern to your queue.  Then you would insert the cartridge that has the image you want to use (in my case the heart from Baby Boutique) When you edit your image using the little pencil icon you can scroll through the patterns where you will find the Cached Pattern from Best Friends.
I just love how you can change the patterns on any image and make it your own.

I used my Cuddlebug Swiss Dots Embossing Folder for the red background paper and the key hole.
I wrote in my senitment and added some stitching and ribbon to finish off my card.
I also gave the inside some finishing touches and I am done.

The inside of my card...the key was cut at 3.0.

My Cricut Craft Room 100 Cricut Cartridge Blog Hop - Day One

My Cricut Craft Room 100 Cartridge Hop

Happy Saturday Crafters,
Thank you for joining us today on the first 100 Cricut Cartridge Blog Hop of 2012.  You should have come from Karey's crafty goodness.  If you came across this post as one of my followers please start at the begining of the blog hop Here.

For my project this month I made a calendar using Chipboard Hanging Calendar that I got from Erica from My Cricut Craft Room.  I used Create A Critter for my images and patterns from the following Cricut Imagine Cartridges:  Best Friends, Better Together, Imagine More, Imagine More Cards, Kate's Kitchen, & Nursery Tails.  For the calendar part I used My Creative Time Stamps (Whimsical Calendar Days & XL Label Borders)  I also used the XL Label Die that coordinates with these stamp sets.  I am going to use this as my Birthday Calendar in my craft room since it is not year specific.  I didn't want every month to show so instead of hanging it as intended I am going to have them sit on the pictured easel three months at a time.

Below each picture is the Imagine Cartridge used and the size of the Critter.

On the back of each month I created a pocket and used the My Creative Time's die so I can write the name of who's birthday's are on that specific month or any other notes I might want to add for that month.  I like to include the year the person was born...I have a lot of kiddos in my life and it's getting harder to remember their ages, so this helps me a lot. :)
I had such a blast with these Critter's and the Imagine patterns.
