My Cricut Craft Room - Card Creating Tuesday

First and foremost Congrats to all my new DT Sisters, you are in for a lot of fun and inspiration.
I am so excited and can't wait to be inspired by all of you as well!

Today is Card Creating Tuesday.
We had the choice to create a Card based off of a Sketch that is on the Challenge blog or a Boy Card for Sunshine and Smiles.  I chose to do the Sketch below.

...and here is my card.

The card is 5.5 x 5.5
The next layer is cut at 5.25 x 5.5
The top layer is 4.25 x 4.5
and I only used one cricut cut for this card.

There is only one Cricut Cut to share with you:
Hannah Montana: Button 48, cut at 2.25...same button with <Shift> selected.

Supplies:
The following products I purchased through Erica's Store:
6x6 Paper Pad: Fancy Pants - Summer Soul
Twinery Twine - Cantaloupe
Bling is from Bo Bunny - Little Miss Collection

My sentiment is from:
My Pink Stamper: Birthday Crazy

My Cricut Craft Room's 100 Cartridge Blog Hop - July

Welcome to Erica's Craft Room
100 Cricut Cartridge Blog Hop Day ONE
You should have started at http://mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com/ if not please start at the beginning

Welcome to My Cricut Craft Room's one year "BLOG-iversary" of our first 100 cartridge Blog hop!
A year ago the blog was kicked off with the first design team members and daily postings. It took 2 months to get ready for this hop last year. Now we bring it to you the first full weekend of every month.
Collectively the design team uses over 100 different Cricut Cartridges in their projects during the two days of this hop. Sunday the new members of the design team will be announced and some have even made a project to share with you!! What an exciting weekend!!
As special treat enjoy 10% off of your total purchase with Erica's Craft Room Store.
Use the code JULY to see 10% off of your total purchase (No exclusions)
on July 7 & 8. Also on Sunday there will be an exciting announcement!!!

Now on to my projects...For this month I am using the following Cricut Cartridges:
Create A Critter, Gypsy Wanderings, Birthday Cakes, Something to Celebrate, and Greeting Cards Inside & Out Imagine Cartridge.

A friend at work is planning her daughter, Ryan's, first birthday.  She wanted an Owl theme so of course I automatically thought of the super cute owl on the Create A Critter Cartridge.
I think I went a bit overboard, but I was so excited  to make all the following projects.

My first project are Cupcake Toppers...these may look familiar if you follow my blog as I posted these on Monday as a Sneak Peak of the coordinating Party Decor. For details on how these were created please go to my original post Here.

Here is a banner that I created for my second project. I used all of the cartridges listed above to create this project.  All of the paper on this banner was created using the Cricut Imagine and the Greetings Cards Inside and Out Cartridge.
I love the colors and patterns on this cartridge!

My third project are these fun goody bags for the kiddos that will be at the party. The goody bags include Stickers, a Glow Stick Bracelet, Play Dough, and a Squirt Gun since the party is going to be outside at a park. These are the first goody bags I have created and I had a fun with these.  The Thank you sentiment is from My Pink Stamper Fabulous Phrases stamp set.

My last project I am going to share with you will be the Centerpieces for the tables.  My friend has quite a big family and is expecting around 70 people at this party, so I will be working on creating 10 of these centerpieces this weekend.

Fun Tip: Instead of buying filling for the bucket I am shredding paper myself so the colors will be a perfect match.

The Look Who's 1 sentiment is from Pink By Design Take the Cake stamp set.

I welded Look Whoos One to a Circle and this will be a frame for pictures of the Birtday Girl.

The Happy Birtday Sentiment is from My Creative Time Many Greetings Stamp Set.
Cricut Cuts:
  • The Base for the banner is from the Tag Shadow Feature <Shift>, Button 14 on the Gypsy Wanderings cartridge.  These were flood filled with patterns from the Imagine Greetings Inside and Out cartridge.
  • The Font is from the Font Feature and Font Shadow Fearture on Birthday Cakes. (this was used on the cupcake toppers, banner, and centerpieces.)
  • The Owls are from Create A Critter, Button 2 on the overlay using Layer 2, & 3...I skipped layer 1 since I used googly eyes. (this cut was used on all projects)
  • The Rossettes are from the Decor Feature, Button 35 on Something to Celebrate     (this cut was used on the banner and centerpieces)

Wow I've been busy and having so much fun creating these projects. :)
Thanks for sticking with me through this long post.
I hope you have enjoyed my projects.

My Cricut Craft Room - Card Creating Tuesday

Good Morning Crafters,

Today is Card Creating Tuesday at My Cricut Craft Room.
Did you know Erica from My Cricut Craft Room also has a Challenge Blog?

That's right, there is a weekly card challenge that I have really been enjoying entering.
The Challenges are based on a sketch and color combo that she gives.
My card today is for the Challenge blog.  So my card is based on this sketch below and the color combo we were challenged with are Apple, Blueberry, and Grape (Green, Blue and Purple).
For all of the details and to join in the Challenge please go Here.

I was also inspired by another DT sister for this card.  Last week Deidre posted a card with layers making it feel like a shadow box feel and I just knew that technique would be perfect for this Challenge.  To see her original post with this technique I was inspired by please go Here.

Unfortunately I accidently deleted my Gypsy file so I don't have the sizes of the cuts I used, but I did use quite a few different cartridges for this card.  Elegant Edges (Frame), Create A Critter (Sun), Sweethearts (tree), and Something to Celebrate (Title Banner).  My sentiment is from My Pink Stamper and it says I'm so happy for you.  I thought this would be a fun card to give to a newly engaged couple.

To see what other fabulous creations were made today by my DT Sisers please go to My Cricut Craft Room. I hope you decide to join us in the Challenge!

Thank you for stopping by,

This month I chose four different Cricut Cartridges and I have three cards to share with you today.

My first card was created using Paisley.
I got this sunglass ribbon from Erica with this cute Elephant in mind.
The sentiment is from My Pink Stamper's Fabulous Phrases.
I embossed both layers of my elephant with Swiss Dots & D'vine Swirl Cuttlebug Folders
and I added Glossy Accents to the sunglasses.
My 9 year old niece has been having some bully issues so I am going to send this to her so she remember's that she is FABULOUS! :)

Cricut Cuts:
Button 6 on overlay, cut at 2.75...also used Feature buttons Layer 1, Layer 2 to complete cut.

My second card was created using Yummy Imagine Cartridge and Martha Steward Holiday Cakes.
This was a quick and simple Easter Card.  All of the pattern papers were patterns selected from the Yummy cartridge...this actually has really great pastel colors on this cartridge.
The bunny is from Holiday Cakes.
To finish off this card I added Divine Twine and Star Dust Stickles.

Cricut Cuts:
Background Rectangle - from stock images on the Imagine, cut at 4.2, filled with pattern from pg 43.
Scalloped circle - from stock images on the Imagine, cut at 3.5, filled with pattern form pg 40.
Bunny - MS Holiday Cakes, Button 42 on overlay, cut at 2.2, filled with pattern from pg 42.
Top Layer of Bunny - <Shift> Button 42 on overlay, cut at 2.2, filled with pattern from pg 42.
(Page numbers reference Yummy Cartridge)

This card was created using Just Because Cards cartridge.
Ok so I saved my favorite card for last...I absolutely love this card!
I bought the paper by Sultry by Basic Gray knowing I wanted to use it for a Watermelon cut.
I also used Divine Twine Pink, Black, and Green and twisted them together and added a knot of each color and I added Glossy Accents to the seeds on the watermelon.
Doesn't it look so Yummy!

Cricut Cuts:
Background Cut - <Shift> Button 32 on the Overlay, cut at 3.71
Watermelon - Feature Layer 1 and Layer 2, Button 32 on the Overlay, cut at 4.0
Thanks a Melon - Feature Word, Button 32 on the Overlay, cut at 3.25

Thanks for joining us in today's 100 Cartridge Blog Hop!

My Cricut Craft Room - Card Creating Sunday

Happy Sunday!  I am so sad this holiday weekend is coming to an end.  I hope everyone had a fantastic Thanksgiving...I know I did.  Today I have a quick card to share with you...this will be my last non Christmas card until January.  I am so excited to create some fun projects for Christmas.  Today is Card Creating Sunday at My Cricut Craft Room...we actually had a choice of making a card or using Create A Critter, so I chose to do both.  My God Daughters birthday is coming up in December so I thought I would make a quick card for her.

I used Create A Critter along with the Imaine Pattern Cartridge Bubble Gum Stripes.
The sweet little lady bug is button 43 on the overlay and is cut at 3.3.
I then flood filled her layers with three different patterns from Bubble Gum Stripes.
I also used an image that is in the stock images on the Imagine...it is the second image and cut at 4.0.  This is also flood filled with a pattern from Bubble Gum Stripes.

To finish my card I added some embroidery floss, brads, doodling and my sentiment is from My Pink Stamper - Sweet Baby.  This sentiment is so cute because it says Happy Birthday and there is a space left to add the year for ages 1 - 4.  So cute!

I hope you enjoyed my card today and have a great week!
Please go to My Cricut Craft Room to see what the other wonderful designers have created today.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by!

My Cricut Craft Room's October 100 Cartridge Blog Hop

Happy Sunday Crafters,
Thank you for joining us today for Day Two of My Cricut Craft Room's October 100 Cartridge Blog Hop.  You should have hopped to me from Karey Jeans bloggy goodness...if you just came across my blog and would like to start at the beginning of the hop please go to My Cricut Craft Room.  This month I chose to use three cartridges (Elegant Edges, Straight from the Nest, Best Friends - Imagine)  Can you believe it's already October?  In honor of October I created a couple fall projects.  My first project is an A2 size card and I used both Elegant Edges and Straight from the Nest for this project.
Cricut Cuts using Gypsy:
Elegant Edges - Using Feature Button Oblong Frames <Shift>, button 41 on overlay
Straight From the Nest - Button 13, welded on to the frame sized at 3.75
Button 13 <Shift>, cut at 3.5", Layer Feature cut at 3.5"
The Leaves are button 29 cut at 2.5" three times

For my card I used 12x12 paper and had enough left over for a 12x12 Layout, which is my next project.
I used the same cartridges (Elegant Edges & Straight from the Nest)

Cricut Cuts using Gypsy:
Elegant Edges - Feature Frame <Shift>, button 4 on the overlay, 1 cut at 4.88" & 2 cut at 3.81"
Straight from the Nest - The tree is button 12 on the overlay, cut at 4.5
Same button and size <Shift>

Feature Phrase, Button 49 on overlay, cut at 2.5"

My last project for today's hop is an A2 sized Birthday Card using an Imagine Cartridge - Best Friends.
I'm  new to card making and am still trying to build up my collection of cards I have on hand.

Cricut Cuts:
Frame from page 20 flood filled with pattern from page 40 cut at 4"
Balloons are from page 27 using Layer feature the Clouds are cut at 3.5 Rel and Ballons at 2.5 Rel
I also used the Cuttlebug - Swiss Dots
My Pink Stamper - Fabulous Phrases

Well there you have it.
I hope you have enjoyed my projects for this hop.
