Happy Monday!
Today I have a Valentine's Day card I made for my Sweet Hubby. Erica at My Cricut Craft Room has mixed things up this next term for her design team...all fun and exciting things to work on. On Monday's we can create anything using any of the following machines...Imagine, E2, Cricut Mini, and Cricut Craft Room, or we can create anything starting with the letter of the day. We will be working our way through the alphabet and today's letter is B. This can be anything from the cartrdige we use (Baby Boutique), the actual image (Bird), or a feature (Borders).
Today's creation fit's in both categories...I created this card on my Imagine using the Baby Boutique and Best Friends Imagine Cartridges.
The heart can be found on Baby Boutique (Page 4, cut at 3.8) The heart is a pastel pink on the Baby Boutique Cartridge and I wanted a brighter color, so I found this perfect pattern paper (Page 42) on the Best Friends cartridge and flood filled my image using my Gypsy.
If you don't have a Gypsy or don't use Cricut Craft Room you can Cache the Pattern. If there is a certain pattern you want to use with another cartridge you would put in the cartridge with the pattern you want to use (in my case Best Friends) You would find the pattern you want to use and hold down that button with your stylus until a window pops up that reads Cache Pattern. The Imagine will then save that pattern to your queue. Then you would insert the cartridge that has the image you want to use (in my case the heart from Baby Boutique) When you edit your image using the little pencil icon you can scroll through the patterns where you will find the Cached Pattern from Best Friends.
I just love how you can change the patterns on any image and make it your own.
I used my Cuddlebug Swiss Dots Embossing Folder for the red background paper and the key hole.
I wrote in my senitment and added some stitching and ribbon to finish off my card.
I also gave the inside some finishing touches and I am done.
