My Cricut Craft Room - Would you Guess Wednesday

Happy Wednesday...that's right we are half way through the week. Wahoo!

Today at My Cricut Craft Room is Would You Ever Guess Wednesday, which means that Erica challenges us designers to only use the Feature buttons on the Cricut Cartridges.  I love creating on this day because I always find cuts that most times get overlooked.

For today's creation I took Would You Ever Guess Wednesday a step further and used paper from a Christmas stack...now would you have guessed this paper came from a Christmas stack?
It is from the Echo Park Holly Jolly 6x6 Paper Pad.
I just love the colors in this collection.

Also my tip for my alternative to border punches.
I love the look of border punches but
1) I don't want to spend the money on the punches
and 2) I don't have room to store bulky punches
Sooo...using my Gypsy I created my own Border "punch" by selecting the border from
Elegant Edges and welding it to the rectangle from Gypsy Font.
I love the welding feature on the Gypsy.
Elegant Edges has the perfect borders in the Borders feature for this technique.

Cricut cuts:
Straight From the Nest:  Border Feature, Button 33 on the overlay, cut at 1.75
Elegant Edges:  Border Feature, Button 23 on the overlay, cut at .52
Gypsy Font:  Monogram Shadow <Shift>, Button 44, cut at W5.25 x H3.62 (this is a square made into a rectangle with the Gypsy)

To finish my card I added my Ribbon and Divine Twine, doodled around the edges of the card and added my Sentiment which is from Pink By Design: Take the Cake.

My Cricut Craft Room - Scrapbook Friday

Happy Friday my Crafty friends!

TGIF...I am so happy it is friday and today is Scrapbook Friday on My Cricut Craft Room.  The theme for today is Wedding/Love.  My wedding album is a work in progress and I was posting a two page spread once a week before Christmas, but it got moved to the back burner.  I want to get back into this as it has helped me to get my album worked on.  I have been married for three years and am just now getting to it. LOL  So if you want to see the other Wedding pages I have done please go to my
Labels: Scrapbook Pages - Wedding. :)

Here are the images again a little bigger...I wanted to show them side by side above since it is a 2 page LO.  Sorry for the poor quality of the pics...any good tips for taking pics of scrapbook pages would be appreciated. :)
The first page is before the wedding of my husband and his family.

The second page is the Mother's/Grandmother being seated along with my sweet ring bearer and flower girl.

My Cricut Cuts:
I used a fun image from Storybook (Border Feature <Shift> Button 2 on overlay - cut at 4) to make the green background on both pages.
On the first page I grouped two pictures together and added photo corners, which can be found on Straight From the Nest (Corner Feature <Shift> Button 1 on overlay - cut at 1)

Please go to My Cricut Craft Room to see what other wonderful LO's were created today.
Also Erica added a ton of new products to her webstore and there is a 15% discount code.

My Cricut Craft Room - Would you guess Wednesday

Happy Wednesday!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Halloween.  Can you believe it is already November?  I sure can't.  Before we know it, it will be Christmas.  So exciting!  Anywho on to my creation today.  Today is my favorite day to design at My Cricut Craft Room as it challenges me to think outside of the main buttons on the cartridges. :)  This day the Design Team is challenged to use any Feature Image on any cartridge of our choosing...we are not supposed to use the main image.  I have found some amazing images and I am always looking at the extra features now. :)

Using my Gypsy I found the base card using the card feature on A Child's Year, Button 21 on the overlay, cut at 5.5 so it will fit in a standard A2 size envelope.  The flower image can be found on Straight from the Nest in the border feature, button 14 on the overlay, cut at 2.65.  Then press shift and the same button to cut the flower petals.  I finished off my card with some rhinestones, ribbon, and of course stickles.  My sentiment on the bottom right is from My Creative Time - Many Greetings.  This is a must have stamp set in my opinion.  Love it!

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you have been inspired to look at those feature keys. :)  Please go to My Cricut Craft Room to see what the other wonderful Design Team members created today.

My Cricut Craft Room - Scrapbook Saturday

Happy Saturday!
I am so excited that it is the weekend and I am hoping to get some crafting done. :)  Saturday's are exclusively Scrapbook Lay Out's at My Cricut Craft Room.  This is my first time participating in Scrapbook Saturday and I am excited to get back to work on my Lay Out's.  So I have a confession...I've been married for three years now and I am just now starting on my Wedding Album.  All of the albums we can afford from the photographer were somewhat old fashioned and not really my taste, so instead of ordering an album from the photographer I decided to just get the prints so I can make my own album.  Fun!  These pages are of me the Bride getting ready to marry the man of her dreams.  The colors of our wedding were Brown, Pink, and Green so this paper pack that I have had for several years is just perfect.  It is Memory Boutique from Joann.  The paper pack included some printed vellum which cut perfect with the Cricut.

The Cricut Cut I used on this page is from Sweethearts.
The main cut and shadow is Cut at 3.5".

The border on this page is from Straight from the Nest.
These were weded together on the Gypsy and cut at 1.0".

Don't forget to stop by My Cricut Craft Room to see the other wonderful Lay Out's created by Erica's talented Design Team.
I hope you have enjoyed my Lay Outs and are inspired to craft this wonderful weekend!

Happy Sunday Crafters,

Cricut Cuts using Gypsy:
Elegant Edges - Using Feature Button Oblong Frames <Shift>, button 41 on overlay
Straight From the Nest - Button 13, welded on to the frame sized at 3.75
Button 13 <Shift>, cut at 3.5", Layer Feature cut at 3.5"
The Leaves are button 29 cut at 2.5" three times

For my card I used 12x12 paper and had enough left over for a 12x12 Layout, which is my next project.
I used the same cartridges (Elegant Edges & Straight from the Nest)

Cricut Cuts using Gypsy:
Elegant Edges - Feature Frame <Shift>, button 4 on the overlay, 1 cut at 4.88" & 2 cut at 3.81"
Straight from the Nest - The tree is button 12 on the overlay, cut at 4.5
Same button and size <Shift>

Feature Phrase, Button 49 on overlay, cut at 2.5"

My last project for today's hop is an A2 sized Birthday Card using an Imagine Cartridge - Best Friends.
I'm  new to card making and am still trying to build up my collection of cards I have on hand.

Cricut Cuts:
Frame from page 20 flood filled with pattern from page 40 cut at 4"
Balloons are from page 27 using Layer feature the Clouds are cut at 3.5 Rel and Ballons at 2.5 Rel

My Cricut Craft Room - My Imagine-ation Monday

Happy Monday...today is My Imagine-ation Monday at My Cricut Craft Room.  For today's creation I made an A2 size card (4.25 x 5.5).  I made this card for my sister as she has decided to go to Massage Therapy School and I wanted to send her an encouraging card.  I know she is going to do great.
The pink and turqoise background papers are from my stash...I ran the pink paper through my Cuttlebug using the Stylized Flowers embossing folder.  For my first cut I used Hannah Montana using feature button Daddy's Girl/Shift and selecting button 50 on the overlay, then flood filled with the pattern on page 43 from the Best Friends cartridge.  This is cut at 3.5".  For the Sparrow I used the same feature button which is button 59 flood filled with patterns from pages 37 & 44.  Cut at 3".  My last cut is from Straight From the Nest using the Phrase feature button.  It is button number 7 flood filled with one of the coordinating colors on the Best Friends cartridge.  This is cut at 1.6".  To finish off my card I added some ribbon and stickles.

Thank you for stopping by today...now please head over to http://mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com/ to see what other great Imagine projects have been created by the very talented Design Team.

Have a blessed day,

Pen:  Sakura Gelly Roll (White)
Queen & Co - Adhesive Pearls
