My Cricut Craft Room's 25 days of Christmas - Hot Chocolate Theme

Welcome to Erica's Craft Room
25 Days of Christmas,
with 25 Cricut projects a day.
Don't forget to stop by Erica's blog to see 24 more projects today....
and every day in December.

For today's project I helped my Besty, Mindy, make these mugs to give as gifts around her office. She bought the mugs from The Dollar Tree and we added everyone's initail to the mug using vinyl. We then wrapped the mugs in cellophane and added a cute tag to finish off our project.  Above is the finished project.  Keep scrolling down for more details. :)
Mindy included in the mug Hot Chocolate, Starbucks Via Instant Coffee pack, and a Candy Cane.
The letters were cut from Art Philosophy using the Decorative Font Feature button.
I can't remember the size they were cut at, but I believe it may have been 2.5.
We used vinyl to cut the letters.

For the tag we used Winter Frolic.
Using the Tag Feature we chose button 17 on the overlay and cut it at 4" and 3.65" to layer the tag.
The sentiment can be found on the same cartridge using the Phrase Feature Button 32.
This was cut at 2.41" along with it's layer which you get by pressing Shift.  To give the tag a finished touch I doodled some stitching with my White Gel Pen.

I love how these turned out and it is a perfect inexpensive yet personalized gift.
Mindy and I had so much fun creating these together. :)

My Cricut Craft Room's 25 days of Christmas - Elf Theme

Welcome to Erica's Craft Room
25 Days of Christmas,
with 25 Cricut projects a day.
Don't forget to stop by Erica's blog to see 24 more projects today....
and every day in December.

I hope everyone is almost ready for Christmas...Can you believe it is only 7 days away?!
I got one of my presents early from my hubby.  He made me a light box so I can take better pictures of my projects for my blog.  He's so wonderful and supportive of my crafting...I just love him to pieces! :)

Anywho, on to today's project.  I got this candle from Michael's for $.75...I think they are normally $1.00, but I got it on sale.  I decided to get these for the girls in my office and to use my Imagine to dress them up a bit.  The cartridges I used are Jolly Holiday's and Kate's Kitchen (Imagine Cartridge).

I chose the circle from the stock images that come on the Imagine, cut at 2.8 and flood filled it with a pattern from Kate's Kitchen, which can be found on page 37 in the handbook.
Our cute little Elf can is button 6 on the Jolly Holiday's overlay.  I cut him and all of his layers at 2.2.  His little elf uniform is flood filled with a pattern from page 41.
You can't tell in the picture, but I added some Stickles to his hat and Glossy Accents to the Christmas lights and his buttons.

Lastly I took a piece of thin cardstock that matched the paper I printed in the circle and stamped my Sentiment that says Jolly Holly Day.  The stamps I used is from Pink By Design - Christmas Wishes.

I hope you enjoyed my project and I can't wait to pass these out to the ladies at work.

My Cricut Craft Room's 25 days of Christmas - Snow Theme

Welcome to Erica's Craft Room
25 Days of Christmas,
with 25 Cricut projects a day.
Don't forget to stop by Erica's blog to see 24 more projects today....
and every day in December.

Today's theme is Snow.  I love the snow capped houses on the Jolly Holidays Cricut Cartridge and knew that it would be perfect for today. The cut I used from Jolly Holidays can be found on button 43 on the overlay, cut at 4.  Using my Imagine I flood filled the house with patterns from Kate's Kitchen.  The background cut can be found in the stock images that come with the Imagine and is also cut at 4 and flood filled with a pattern from Kate's Kitchen.  I am loving the patterns on this cartridge for my Holiday creations.

For the snow covered areas I used flocking to give some added texture.  I love to flock anything snow related.  I just used my Zig 2 way glue pen and poured the flock on top.  I think next time I will try my Xyron since it gives an even layer of adhesive...I didn't have any refills on hand to try it on this project.  To finish up my card I added some ribbon and added my sentiment which is from Pink By Design - Christmas Wishes.

I hope you enjoyed my creation today and don't forget to see all of the other wonderful Cricut projects created with snow in mind at http://mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com.

Happy Crafting,

My Cricut Craft Room - Card Creating Sunday

Happy Sunday!  I am so sad this holiday weekend is coming to an end.  I hope everyone had a fantastic Thanksgiving...I know I did.  Today I have a quick card to share with you...this will be my last non Christmas card until January.  I am so excited to create some fun projects for Christmas.  Today is Card Creating Sunday at My Cricut Craft Room...we actually had a choice of making a card or using Create A Critter, so I chose to do both.  My God Daughters birthday is coming up in December so I thought I would make a quick card for her.

I used Create A Critter along with the Imaine Pattern Cartridge Bubble Gum Stripes.
The sweet little lady bug is button 43 on the overlay and is cut at 3.3.
I then flood filled her layers with three different patterns from Bubble Gum Stripes.
I also used an image that is in the stock images on the Imagine...it is the second image and cut at 4.0.  This is also flood filled with a pattern from Bubble Gum Stripes.

To finish my card I added some embroidery floss, brads, doodling and my sentiment is from My Pink Stamper - Sweet Baby.  This sentiment is so cute because it says Happy Birthday and there is a space left to add the year for ages 1 - 4.  So cute!

I hope you enjoyed my card today and have a great week!
Please go to My Cricut Craft Room to see what the other wonderful designers have created today.

My Cricut Craft Room - Would you guess Wednesday

Good morning crafters and welcome to Would you Guess Wednesday feartured at My Cricut Craft Room.  Our Design Team leader Erica challenges us to think outside the box on Wednesdays.  We are to create a project using only the Feature Keys on any cartridge...or we can create a paper project using a Cricut Cake Cartridge.  Did you know you can use any Cake Cartridge on any Cricut?

Today I decided to use only the Feature Keys on the Cricut cartridge Gypsy Wanderings (this is a preloaded cartridge that comes with the Gypsy).  This cartridge is great as it has a lot of seasonal images.  I created this A2 size card to send to one of my friends to let her know that I am Grateful for our friendship this Thanksgiving.

For my card base I used Kraft cardstock as my base.  All of the other paper are from my scraps.

Cricut Cuts:
I used the same Button on all of my cuts (button 28 on the overlay)
For the frame I used the Feature Key: Decor Tag <Shift>  cut at 3.5
For the phrase I used the Feature Key: Phrase/Shadow <Shift> Welded to Decor Tag, sized at 1.55
Feature Key: Phrase/Shadow - cut at 1.55
For the leaves I used the Featur Key: Border/Shadow <Shift> - cut at 1.24
Feature Key: Border/Shadow - cut at 1.24

Hope you enjoy and take a minute to think of the things in your life you are Grateful for today.
Please stop by My Cricut Craft Room to see what other Wonderful projects were created.

Also check out Erica's preview day all day today at her webstore.
She is having a HUGE grand opening sale starting Thursday at 10:00 A.M. EST, but today she will be adding things to the store through out the day so you can preview what items will be available to purchase.

Have a very Happy Thanksgiving!

My Cricut Craft Room - My Imagine-ation Monday

Happy Monday...It's Thanksgiving week.  Is everyone ready for yummy food and spending time with family?  I am super excited for the short work week!  For today's project I am feartured on My Cricut Craft Room's My Imagine-ation Monday.  I created this plaqure for Thanksgiving.  This is the first Home Decor project I made and really love how it turned out.

For the plaque I used a foam board that was in my husbands Nook packaging as extra filling.  I love finding ways to reuse packaging like this.

Cartridge Cuts:
Create A Critter - Button 47 on overlay including all three layers, cut at 3.5
Storybook - Feature Key Shorty/Holes <Shift>, button 40 on overlay, cut at 4.5
Holiday Cakes - Feature Font <Shift>, button 46 on overyay, cut at 1.5
Imagine Better Together - Images flood filled  with patterns on pages 38,40, & 42

I embossed using the Cuttlebug - Swiss Dots embossing folder and added some ribbon to complete my Happy Thanksgiving plaque.

I hope you enjoyed my project.

My Cricut Craft Room - My Imagine-ation Monday

Happy Monday I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.  This past weekend was the 100 Cricut Cartridge Blog Hop hosted by Erica at My Cricut Craft Room.  I want to say Thank you to everyone that left such sweet comments.  I had fun reading them all weekend.

Today is My Imagine-ation Monday hosted by My Cricut Craft Room.
Monday's are all about the Cricut Imagine at My Cricut Craft Room.  I used two Imagine Cartridges for the card I created today, Baby Boutique and Imagine More.  This is an A2 size card (5.5 x 4.25), the base of my card and the green layer was some cardstock I had in my scraps.

The scallaped rectange is one of the stock images that come programmed in the Imagine.
This was cut at 4.0 and flood filled with a pattern from Imagin More (Pg 44)
The framed tree is from Baby Boutique (Pg 33 ) cut at 2.7.
I inked the edges of the frame with ColorBox Petal Point Ink (Amber).
Blessing is also from Baby Boutique (Pg 13 ) cut at 1.2.

Hope you liked my quick and easy card today.
Please head on over to My Cricut Craft Room to see what the other Design Team members created today.

My Cricut Craft Room 100 Cartridge Hop

Happy Saturday!

You should have hopped to me from the super sweet and talented Madison ...if you just came across my blog and would like to start at the beginning of the hop please go to My Cricut Craft Room. I have two projects for you today using the three cartridges I chose to use this month...Kate's Kitchen (Imagine), Hannah Montana, and Sweethearts (I also ended up using a Font cartridge Jasmine).
Now on to my first project.

I created this card for my nephew who is turning 9.  I used Patterns/Colors from Kate's Kitchen and believe it or not Hannah Montana. (I have to tell you I was not interested in the Hannah Montana cartridge until I really looked at it. There are a total of five different fonts and two shadow fonts on this one cartridge and some really great images)  I also wanted to show that this cartridge is not just for girls since it is Hannah Montana. :)
Supplies:
Paper: Bazzill Basics (White), Recollections (Silver), The Paper Co (Ice Cream Social)
A2 Embossing Folder: QuicKutz (Rings)
Stamps: My Creative Time's (Many Greetings)
Pen: Zig Memory Makers (Pure Black)

For my second project I did a double page 12x12 scrapbook layout.
On these Layouts I used Sweethearts and Jasmine Cricut Cartridges.

I have been wanting to get my wedding album completed so I have been signing up for Scrapbook Saturday's on My Cricut Craft Room. This has really helped me stay motivated. :) Since the Blog Hop is on Saturday I wanted to post my LO's today as well. My Cricut Craft Room - Would you guess Wednesday

Happy Wednesday!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Halloween.  Can you believe it is already November?  I sure can't.  Before we know it, it will be Christmas.  So exciting!  Anywho on to my creation today.  Today is my favorite day to design at My Cricut Craft Room as it challenges me to think outside of the main buttons on the cartridges. :)  This day the Design Team is challenged to use any Feature Image on any cartridge of our choosing...we are not supposed to use the main image.  I have found some amazing images and I am always looking at the extra features now. :)

Using my Gypsy I found the base card using the card feature on A Child's Year, Button 21 on the overlay, cut at 5.5 so it will fit in a standard A2 size envelope.  The flower image can be found on Straight from the Nest in the border feature, button 14 on the overlay, cut at 2.65.  Then press shift and the same button to cut the flower petals.  I finished off my card with some rhinestones, ribbon, and of course stickles.  My sentiment on the bottom right is from My Creative Time - Many Greetings.  This is a must have stamp set in my opinion.  Love it!

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you have been inspired to look at those feature keys. :)  Please go to My Cricut Craft Room to see what the other wonderful Design Team members created today.

My Creative Time's FIRST Design Team Call!

Happy Saturday Crafters,

Today I am posting my entry to be a part of the My Creative Time design team. Miss Emma from My Creative Time has a fabulous line of Stamps/Dies that she releases every month. Click Here to check out the amazing stamps she has currently. I have two set's of the My Creative Time stamp line which are Many Greetings & Gift Card Sentiments (this goes perfectly with the Embossed Gift Card Holder Die). I chose to work with the Gift Card Holder Die and the Gift Card Sentiments stamps today. Since Christmas is right around the corner (can you believe it) I decided to make an M&M Cookie Mix in a Jar to get started on some gifts. I have to give a disclaimer and say I was a bit out of my comfort zone with this type of project. :) The original recipe I had didn't fit in the jar so I cut the recipe in half. I don't bake very often and think I may keep this first one and make the cookies to make sure the recipe is correct. HA! Okay so onto the details of the part of my project that I am comfortable with (the paper part LOL). :)

Blogger keeps changing this picture to the side. :(

I wanted to show another way to use the Gift Card Die, so I used this to hold the list of additional ingredients/baking directions needed.  I stamped the Sentiment from the Gift Card Sentiments stamp set (fit's perfectly!)  I am sooo happy with how my project turned out.

Recipe:
From Top to Bottom:
Circle cut from Art Philosphy flood filled with pattern from Imagine More (pg 41)
Santa's Sleigh and all layers from Jolly Holidays cut at 1.8 rel.
Stamped ribbon around rim with Gift Card Sentiments added some stickles.

My Creative Time Die (Embossed Gift Card Holder)
Sentiment from Gift Card Sentiments.
The adorable house is cut from Jolly Holidays at 3.2 rel...these cut's were flood filled with patterns/colors from Kate's Kitchen.  (pg 43 & 46)
I used White Flocking Powder for the snow cuts on the house.
The last cut is the inside of the Gift Card Holder, which was flood filled with the same pattern of the circle with Santa's Sleigh.  I was going to type the directions, but decided to handwrite them for a more home made feel.

Supplies:
Cricut Cartridges:  Art Philosophy, Jolly Holiday, Imagine More, Kate's Kitchen
Cuttlebug Embossing Folder - D'vine Swirls
Ball Smooth Jar
Celebrate It Ribbon & Tulle
Recollections Flocking Powder
Xmas Red Stickles
Adhesive - ATG & Zig 2 way glue, Recollections Foam Adhesive Squares

I hope you have enjoyed my entry and keep your fingers crossed for me. :)
Good luck to all of the amazing talent out there.  Emma has her work cut out for her. LOL

Have a fabulous day!

My Cricut Craft Room - My Imagine-ation Monday

Wow, It's Monday again...the weekends always go too fast.  Today my A2 sized card is featured on My Imagine-ation Monday at My Cricut Craft Room

The two cartridges used today is Imagine More and A Child's Year.
The first cut is a rectangle measured at 5 1/4 x 4 and flood filled with pattern from page 36.
The second cut is from the stock images on the Imagine cut at 3.2 and flood filled with pattern from page 39.
I inked the edges of this image and stamped my sentiment.
For the third and last cut I used black cardstock. This cut can be found on A Child's Year...page 53, Icon Feature <Shift> and it is cut at 2 1/2.
I added some ribbon and brads and there you have it.

I hope you enjoyed and have a great day,

My Cricut Craft Room - Scrapbook Saturday

Happy Saturday!
Today I am featured on My Cricut Craft Room for Scrapbook Saturday.  This has been great signing up for this day as it is making me focus on getting my Wedding Scrapbook started.  I have a ton of pages to do and the plan is to posti two page layouts on Scrapbook Saturday’s until this is finished, so thank you for joining me on this journey of remembering such a wonderful day in my life.  I want to keep my pages simple as the pictures mostly speak for themselves.
On the first page I used A Child’s Year Font Feature and welded the letter’s together.  Welding is my favorite and most used feature on my Gypsy.  I love the Bling on my dress and wanted to add a pretty Bling embellishment on my page.   The second page is of my girls helping me get beautified in my gown.  I love these girls!  The cricut cut on this page is from Sweathearts button 46 on the overlay, cut at 1.5”

My Cricut Craft Room - My Imagine-ation Monday

Happy Monday Crafty Friends,
Today is My Imagine-ation Monday at My Cricut Craft Room.  Today's creation was made for my Boo at work.  What is a Boo?  Every year at the office we pick a name and we get to surpirse our Boo with a special treat.  My Boo this year has two little boys, so I wanted to make them a special treat as well.

The door hanger is from Close To My Heart Art Philosophy.
The cut can be found using the Decorative Font Feature Button <Shift>, button 5, Fit to page.

Count and Frank are found on Mini Monsters and Flood filled with patterns from Imagine More.
Count is button 7 and Frank is button 17
The cuts and layers are sized at 2.8 Rel

The boys names were welded together using my Gypsy.
The letters are sized at 1"

I am really happy with how these little guys turned out and I can't wait to surprise my Boo with these treats.

Now head on over to Erica at My Cricut Craft Room to see what else has been created by the wonderful DT.

My Cricut Craft Room - Would you guess Wednesday

Happy Wednesday!  We are already half way through the week...Woot Woot!
Today is Would you guess Wednesday and personally my favorite day to be featured on at My Cricut Craft Room.  What is this you ask?  Well on Wednesday's Erica challenges us to use only the Feature buttons on any Cricut Cartridge or a Cricut Cake Cartridge to make a paper creation (these cartridges work on any Cricut.)   For my card today I used Gypsy Wanderings.  This cartridge comes pre loaded with the Gypsy and is great.  It has a lot of seasonal images and great Feature buttons.

Cricut Cuts:
For my A2 (4.25 x 5.5) I used three of the Feature Buttons using my Gypsy for all of the cuts.
The first Feature Button used is Border/Shadow I welded the Shadow Skulls to a square and cut this in black for my mat. The shadow skulls can be found using <Shift>, button 46 selected twice, sized at .95 welded together and then welded to the rectangle that was sized at 5.25 x 4.  I then selected the top layer of Skulls by taking off the shift button and sized at .95.
The next Feature used is Decor Tag, button 14 on the overlay, cut at 5.14 x 2.85. (this is the striped jagedy cut)
The last Feature button used is Phrase/Shadow, button 46, sized at 1" then again with the <Shift> button on for the shadow.

Supplies:
Paper:  Recollections Printed Scrapbook Paper (from Michael's)

Thanks for taking time out of your day to stop by...please go to My Cricut Craft Room to see what other great creations the Design Team crafted for you today.

Happy Crafting,

My Cricut Craft Room - My Imagine-ation Monday

Happy Monday,
This pumpkin with his big grin makes me happy! :)  Today is My Imagine-ation Monday at My Cricut Craft Room, which means we can make any project using the Cricut Imagine.  Today I made this card that can be found on Mini Monsters and flood filled with patterns from Imagine More (Imagine Cartridge).  First I printed a pattern for the inside of the card.  I didn't want to print a whole page so I selected the 3:5 rectangle in the stock photos that come on the Imagine.  I wanted the flood filled image towards the right (this way when I flip it over the cuts will be in the right place) so I selected the rectangle twice.  The first one is .8 (Rel) with no pattern so it does not print anything.  Then the second rectangle is sized at 5.5 (Rel) and flood filled with a pattern from page 42.  A tip for the next time I do this is to cut off the white edge on the right of the printed image so my paper starts at the edge of the mat.  When I cut the pumpkin card there was just a bit of the white as shown below.

Sorry for the side view...blogger is being difficult, but I wanted to show that I inked the edge to cover the white and added a sentiment.

For the front of the card I selected Mini Monsters and used the Card Feature, selected button 32 on the overlay, and cut at 5.5 (Rel) in order to fit in an A2 envelope.  I then selected all of the layers which were all cut at 5.5 (rel) as well.  The patterns I used to flood fill can be found on page 36 (orange polka dot) and page 41 (green gingham).

Supplies:
Paper - Bazzill Cardstock (White)
Close to my Heart Stamp
