My Creative Time - Designer Challenge

Here is my creation for the My Creative Time Designer Challenge.

The challenge is hosted by Shar and she chose a color challenge with the additional challenge of including three flowers on the project.

I had the perfect 6x6 paper pad for this color challenge: Buttercup by LilyBeeDesign.
All of the patterned paper used was with this paper pad.

The flower, leaves, & chevron border was cut using the Close To My Heart Artiste Cricut Cartridge:
Feature Button: Accent 2 <Shift> - Button 24, cut at 3.5
The border is a tag welded together using my Gypsy.
Accent 4 - Button 27, cut at 5.5
The leaves can be found on Accent 3 <Shift> - Button 2, cut at 1.25

To finish my card I used a My Creative Time Die (Curly Label Die) and Stamp Set (Many Greetings)

Side view to show the dimension

So that's it from me...hope you enjoyed! :)

I am also linking this project to Pink Cricut's Link up Tuesday.

My Creative Time - Challenge

I am entering this card in My Creative Time's Challenge.  Emma from My Creative Time has a member of her Design Team pick the Challenge...this week the Challenge host is Tracy.  Tracy's challenge is to use googly eyes on our project.

I just love using googly eyes especially with the Mini Monster's Cricut Cartridge.
It was tough to choose just one monster, but I wanted to use My Creative Time's Small Talk stamp set, so I chose this guy as I thought he fit just perfect in the box.
He is Button 3 on the overlay and cut at 2.5.
To complete him I also used Feature Buttons: Layer 1 and Layer 2.
I then added the googly eyes, which makes him look just perfect! :)

The spider is from Happy Hauntings Cricut Cartridge.
He can be found on Button 27 <Shift>, cut at 1.71.
The Small Talk stamp set has a 2.75 x 2.75 dotted frame with a spot left open for 18 different coordinating sentiments to choose from. For this card of course I chose the Boo! sentiment...soo cute!
I then inked one side of the dotted frame to continue the line down so the frame
looks like the spider's web.  I really love how it turned out.

To finish up my card I added black ribbon and doodled some dots around the orange paper.

I hope everyone has a great week...thanks for stopping by,
Jen

Master Crafter Challenge hosted by Pink Cricut

I am so excited to be one of the participants in this challenge hosted by Sarah at Pink Cricut
There are 100 participants who each got a box with the following items:

Scissor Mouse sponsored by Westcott ,
DCWV Rockstar mat stack sponsored by DCWV Deals,
Cotton Bag Sponsored by State line Bag Co. ,
1/2 sheet of Rhinestones sponsored by Queen & Co.,
Sentiment stamp sponsored by Pink by Design,
Assorted Buttons.

The participants were asked to incorporate as much from their goodies as they could in creating their project.

So here is what I came up with:

With the Holiday's coming up I wanted to make an inexpensive homemade gift with the Cotton Bag provided...so I made a Pedicure in a Bag.  My bag and card are Birthday themed but this can easily be made into a Christmas theme as well.
Since this is a pediure in a bag I just couldn't resist using Pink by Design's Shoe Addict stamp set.
The sentiment is hard to read, but it says "Have a Glamorous Birthday"
I love how easy it was to stamp and color on this bag.
I also added some Iron on Vinyl that I had in my stash...this was cut using my Cricut.
CTMH Artiste Cartridge - Accent 1 <Shift>, Button 1 cut at .96.
To finish off the bag, I of course had to add some bling.
I did this with the Queen & Co Rhinestones
from my Mystery Box.

Inside my bag I included a Buffer, Nail File, Nail Clippers, Cuticle Pushers (which can all be purchased at the Dollar Tree) and Jamberry Nail Shields.
With a set of the nail shields cut in half they fit in the bag just perfect and my gift costs under $15!

For my A2 (4.25x5.5) card I used paper from the DCWV Rockstar Mat Stack and the Queen & Co Rhinestones provided in my Mystery Box.
The sentiment is another Pink by Design stamp set called Illuminate.
I just love this sentiment and think it goes perfectly with the bag!

For all of my Cricut Cuts I used the CTMH Artiste Cartridge.
Cuts on the Card:
The cut with the heart paper is on Feature Accent 4 <Shift>, Button # 31, cut at 3.75.
The Dress Form is on Feature Accent 1, Button # 11, cut at 3.0.
Then the top layer is the same button and size with Feature Accent 1 <Shift>

Well that's it from me.
I can't wait to see what everyone creates!

Twisted Tuesday Challenge - Flying by to Say Hi

This is my first time participating in the Twisted Tuesday Challenge.
I found this blog challenge through a group I am in on Facebook:
This is a great resource for finding fun challenges all in one spot.

The challenge was to include something that flies in your project with a twist of using at least 3 different embellishments.

I created an A2 size card 5.5 x 4.25
The embossed layer was cut at 5.25 x 4.

The Hot Air Balloon and clouds were cut from my Cricut.
Cricut Cuts:
Close to my Heart Artiste Cartridge
Hot Air Balloon: Feature Button Accent 1 & Accent 1 <Shift> - Button 40, cut at 3.75
Clouds: Feature Button Accent 2 - Button 40, cut at 1.0

My embellishments were:
Twine - The Twinery Honeydew
Dry Embossing - Cuttlebug Swiss Dots
Stickles - Star Dust
Brads - Joann Brand
Stamp Sentiment - My Creative Time's Teeny Tag Greetings (which comes with the teeny tag die)

The paper is from a 6x6 paper pad - Three Bugs in a Rug...Ellie
I love creating cards with these paper pads since the papers/colors all corrdinate so well.

Thanks for stopping by,
Jen

Cropped Event Challenge #5

Our last challenge for the Cropped Event hosted by Megan Elizabeth at Above Rubies Studios was to create something with only using paper.

In my Mystery Box I got this super cute monster paper by Fancy Pants Designs called Monster Mash.
I knew this paper would work perfectly with my Mini Monsters Cricut Cartridge.
This cartridge is an oldie but a goodie...I just love pulling this one out every Halloween!

Cricut Cuts from Mini Monsters:
Monster: button 11 using Feature Layer 1, Feature Layer 2, Feature Layer 2 <Shift> and cut at 3.75.
Sentiment: button 48, Phrase Feature <Shift>, cut at 1.25.

It was really hard not to use other embelishments, especially on my monster who I wanted to give googly eyes. :)  This was a really fun challenge and such a fun event to attend.

I hope Megan does this again next year!

Cropped Mystery Box Challenge - Challenge 3

Here is my entry for Challenge 3 that I am participating in for Megan Elizabeth's Cropped Mystery Box Challenge.

The challenge was to use Alpha letters as Subway Art.
I used the Alpha letters that came in my Mystery Box...since they were red I went with a Christmas card.  This is fun to get some Christmas cards done early.

I also used the Authentique "Curiosity" paper also provided in my Mystery Box.

Close up of the bow from the Artiste Cricut Cartridge.

Supplies:

Cricut Cartridges:
Jolly Holidays - Wreath, Button 31, Cut at 2.5
Close to my Heart Artiste - Bow, Accent 3 (Button 25), Cut at .5

Cropped - Challenge 1

I am so excited to be participating in the Cropped Mystery Box Challenge Event hosted by Megan Elizabeth at Above Ruby Studios.  There is going to be a ton of inspiration and I can't wait to see what everyone creates with these challenges.

The first challenge was to use a similar style/technique that Megan used in her My 123 Stamp DVD.
I learned a lot of fun stamping tips from this DVD and used several techniques that I learned on my card.  Using these new techniques and stamps I didn't use my Cricut...Gasp!  No worries I'm sure I'll be getting some use from my Cricut during the challenges I will be participating in throughout this weekend.

I am getting so excited to craft my weekend away!

Supplies:
XL Die from My Creative Time
Snowman Stamp/Sentiment from Close to My Heart
Martha Stewart and Tim Holtz Ink
Ribbon: Recycled off of a Christmas Pajama set :)

My Cricut Craft Room - Theme Day Thursday

Today is Thursday which means we are one day closer to Friday...Wahoo!
Today is also my Hubby's Birthday...Yay, I love you baby!

Today at My Cricut Craft Room is Theme Day Thursday and with that we got to use A Child's Year Cricut Cartridge.  I LOVE this cartridge full of fun sillouhettes.
This card is pretty simple, but I really like how it turned out.
This week I based my cut off of my sentiment and this cut is just perfect.
The sentiment is from Pink By Design's Simply Everything stamp set.

Cricut Cut:
A Child's Year: Button 11, cut at 3.75

To finish up my card I used Divine Twine as the fishing line.
I also added Stickles to the pond and grass that the little boy is sitting on.

Look Whoo's One - Iron On Vinyl

Happy Wednesday Crafters!

Today's project was created to coordinate with some party decor that I created recently.

I was very excited and honestly a little nervouse to try this Iron on Vinyl.
Come to find out there was nothing to be nervous about.
This Vinyl was so easy to cut and apply.

Here are my Cricut Cuts:
Create A Critter: Owl is Button 2, cut at 4.75
MS Birthday Cakes: Font Feature all of the letters were cut at 1.0.
I used the Font Shadow Feature for the #1, cut at 5.5.
This was cut twice...once in the lavendar as a whole piece, and the second cut was the Dark Purple with the Birthday Girl's name cut from it.
This was then overlaped so the light purple would show through.

I designed everything on my Gypsy so I could weld my letters together and overlap letters in the #1.
It is very importatnt to remember to flip your letters vertically so when you go to iron on the vinyl they flip and read correctly...you can find the flip feature of the Gypsy on the Advanced tab.

I bought the Vinyl online from http://www.expressionsvinyl.com/
They also have a great video tutorial that I followed.

I am super happy with how this turned out...it was really easy and worked perfect the first time around.  This is a fun and easy way to personalize fabric.

If you are new to my blog and would like to see all of the coordinating Party Decor that matches this onsie please go Here.

I was hoping to get a picture of the Birthday Girl in her onsie, but she wasn't feeling well and her Mommy didn't get very many pictures.  All of the pictures were of Ryan clinging to Mommy.

This project is being Linked Here for Link Up Tuesday with Pink Cricut.

Ink it Pink Challenge PbD06

This weeks Ink it Pink Challenge is Ribbon.
So here is what I created for this weeks challenge:

I used the Close To My Heart Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge for my cuts.
Button 23 on the overlay was selected twice, cut at 3.59 and 2.65.
The Green ribbon cut is Button 9, cut at 2.5.
I designed my card on my Gypsy so I had a better idea of the sizes to make my cuts.

I used two strips of ribbon to accent my cuts...this ribbon was purchased in the $1 bins at Target.    There are 6 different coordinating ribbons that are 18 in each...what a steal!
The ribbon on the bottom was attached to the card with my ATG.
The ribbon above that was attached to the pink cut and then that cut and the ribbon were added to the card with pop dots to give some dimension.

I stamped my sentiment on the ribbon cut...the sentiment is from Pink By Designs Take the Cake.
To finish up the fron of my card I added Black Diamond Stickles around the edge.

For the inside of my card I cut some of the paper from the front of the card in rectangles and stamped a sentiment from Pink By Designs 29 & Holding.
I can tell this is going to be a new favorite of mine!
Since this was a Ribbon challenge I had to add ribbon to the inside of my card as well.

Ink it Pink Challenge PbD05

Happy Wednesday my Crafty Friends,

I just wanted to show a quick card I made for the Ink it Pink Challenge by Pink by Design.
To participated in these challenges we are asked to use Pink by Design stamps with a theme.  This weeks theme is "Show us some sparkle!"  Sooo...here is my sparkle:

I used several elements of Sparkle on this card as there is no sparkle discrimination here. :)
I used Shimmer Paper, Glitter Paper, and Rhinestone Bling...Fun!
The Pink By Design stamp used is Shoe Addict, which I won during the last Blog Hop...This stamp set is oober cute.  I don't usually lean towards stamp images as I am all about the sentiments, but this wonderful set has both images and sentiments.  Win! Win!
The sentiment in my picture is a bit hard to read,  it says "Have a Glamarous Birthday".

I added some Divine Twine which can also be purchased at the Pink By Design store to mimick the lace on the adorable shoes.

Here is a side view to show that shimmer and glitter paper

Supplies:
DCWV - the All About Girls Stack and Cardstock Stack
Divine Twine - Purple Plum
Pink By Design Stamps - Shoe Addict
Close To My Heart Ink - Black

First and foremost Congrats to all my new DT Sisters, you are in for a lot of fun and inspiration.
I am so excited and can't wait to be inspired by all of you as well!

Today is Card Creating Tuesday.
We had the choice to create a Card based off of a Sketch that is on the Challenge blog or a Boy Card for Sunshine and Smiles.  I chose to do the Sketch below.

...and here is my card.

The card is 5.5 x 5.5
The next layer is cut at 5.25 x 5.5
The top layer is 4.25 x 4.5
and I only used one cricut cut for this card.

There is only one Cricut Cut to share with you:
Hannah Montana: Button 48, cut at 2.25...same button with <Shift> selected.

Supplies:
The following products I purchased through Erica's Store:
6x6 Paper Pad: Fancy Pants - Summer Soul
Twinery Twine - Cantaloupe
Bling is from Bo Bunny - Little Miss Collection

My sentiment is from:
My Pink Stamper: Birthday Crazy

My Cricut Craft Room's 100 Cartridge Blog Hop - July

Welcome to Erica's Craft Room
100 Cricut Cartridge Blog Hop Day ONE
You should have started at http://mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com/ if not please start at the beginning

Welcome to My Cricut Craft Room's one year "BLOG-iversary" of our first 100 cartridge Blog hop!
A year ago the blog was kicked off with the first design team members and daily postings. It took 2 months to get ready for this hop last year. Now we bring it to you the first full weekend of every month.
Collectively the design team uses over 100 different Cricut Cartridges in their projects during the two days of this hop. Sunday the new members of the design team will be announced and some have even made a project to share with you!! What an exciting weekend!!
As special treat enjoy 10% off of your total purchase with Erica's Craft Room Store.
Use the code JULY to see 10% off of your total purchase (No exclusions)
on July 7 & 8. Also on Sunday there will be an exciting announcement!!!

Now on to my projects...For this month I am using the following Cricut Cartridges:
Create A Critter, Gypsy Wanderings, Birthday Cakes, Something to Celebrate, and Greeting Cards Inside & Out Imagine Cartridge.

A friend at work is planning her daughter, Ryan's, first birthday.  She wanted an Owl theme so of course I automatically thought of the super cute owl on the Create A Critter Cartridge.
I think I went a bit overboard, but I was so excited  to make all the following projects.

My first project are Cupcake Toppers...these may look familiar if you follow my blog as I posted these on Monday as a Sneak Peak of the coordinating Party Decor. For details on how these were created please go to my original post Here.

Here is a banner that I created for my second project. I used all of the cartridges listed above to create this project.  All of the paper on this banner was created using the Cricut Imagine and the Greetings Cards Inside and Out Cartridge.
I love the colors and patterns on this cartridge!

My third project are these fun goody bags for the kiddos that will be at the party. The goody bags include Stickers, a Glow Stick Bracelet, Play Dough, and a Squirt Gun since the party is going to be outside at a park. These are the first goody bags I have created and I had a fun with these.  The Thank you sentiment is from My Pink Stamper Fabulous Phrases stamp set.

My last project I am going to share with you will be the Centerpieces for the tables.  My friend has quite a big family and is expecting around 70 people at this party, so I will be working on creating 10 of these centerpieces this weekend.

Fun Tip: Instead of buying filling for the bucket I am shredding paper myself so the colors will be a perfect match.

The Look Who's 1 sentiment is from Pink By Design Take the Cake stamp set.

I welded Look Whoos One to a Circle and this will be a frame for pictures of the Birtday Girl.

The Happy Birtday Sentiment is from My Creative Time Many Greetings Stamp Set.
Cricut Cuts:
  • The Base for the banner is from the Tag Shadow Feature <Shift>, Button 14 on the Gypsy Wanderings cartridge.  These were flood filled with patterns from the Imagine Greetings Inside and Out cartridge.
  • The Font is from the Font Feature and Font Shadow Fearture on Birthday Cakes. (this was used on the cupcake toppers, banner, and centerpieces.)
  • The Owls are from Create A Critter, Button 2 on the overlay using Layer 2, & 3...I skipped layer 1 since I used googly eyes. (this cut was used on all projects)
  • The Rossettes are from the Decor Feature, Button 35 on Something to Celebrate     (this cut was used on the banner and centerpieces)

Wow I've been busy and having so much fun creating these projects. :)
Thanks for sticking with me through this long post.
I hope you have enjoyed my projects.

Your next stop is Bunny Freak

Happy Monday...today is My Imagine-ation at My Cricut Craft Room.  Which means you will be seeing projects that were created using the Cricut Imagine.  I just love my Imagine!!!

For today's project I have created some Cupcake Toppers.  I have a friend at work that has a sweet baby girl turning 1 this month.  I am so excited to help her by creating some decorations for her.
This is just one of the few projects I have been working on for this party.

These were created using Greeting Cards Inside & Out Imagine cartridge, Create A Critter, Gypsy Wanderings and Martha Stewarts Birthday Cakes.
Gypsy Wanderings:
The Scallop (Feature: Decor Tag <Shift>, button 3 on the overlay, cut at 9.2rel) and
Circle (Feature: Decor Tag <Shift> button 9 on the overlay, cut at 1.8rel)
Create A Critter:
The Owl (Feature: Layer 2 & Layer 3, button 2 on the overlay, cut at 1.7)
Martha Stewarts Birthday Cakes:
The 1 (Feature: Font, button 1 on the overlay, cut at 1.4rel)

Ink it Pink PbD04 - Keep it Cool

I decided to play along with the Pink by Design Ink it Pink Challenge.
This week the challenge is a project with a "keeping it cool" theme since it is summer.
Now, who doesn't love to keep cool with a delicious ice cream cone on those hot summer days?

Cricut Cut:
I decided to do an Ice Cream Cone shape card.
This cut can be found on the Something to Celebrate Cricut Cartrdge.
Everything was cut at 5.5.

Other supplies used:
The cute sentiment "What's the scoop?" is from Pink by Designs Simply Everything stamp set.
Love the variety of sentiments on this set.
To embelish my card I used Stickles: Star Dust, Ruby Slippers, & Glam Pink.
I also added some Divine Twine at the seam of the card.
To finish it I of course had to add feux stitching for a completed look.

This challenge is open until Tuesday July 3rd at Noon...so hurry and get your entry in. :)

My Cricut Craft Room - Card Creating Tuesday

Today at My Cricut Craft Room we had the choice to create a card based on the above sketch.
Here is what I came up with:

This card was fun to use monochromatic colors in Pink of course. :)
I included tags to give the card a little twist...now let's see who is hiding behind these tags.
I used Pink By Design's Stamp set - Take the Cake.  I just love this stamp set.
It is a must have Birthday stamp set in my opinion.
For the Tag Holders and Tags I used Just Because Cards.
The Critters hiding on the tags are of course from Create A Critter.

I welded a tab to the folder cuts so I could add adhesive to the folder and still have room for the tag.
The Tag Holder: Button 21 on the overlay, cut at 7.5 x 3
The Tag: Button 12 on overlay, cut at 3.5 x 2.95
The Beautiful Birdy and her layers are cut at 2.5

The Tag Holder: Button 21 on the overlay, cut at 7.5 x 3.5
Tag: Button 12 on the overlay, cut at 3.5 x 3.45
The Sweet Sheep and her layers are cut at 2.5

The Tag Holder: Button 21 on the overlay, cut at 7.5 x 4.18
The Tag: Button 12 on the overlay, cut at 3.5 x 4.15
The Happy Horse and her layers are cut at 2.5

The Tag Holder: Button 21 on the overlay, cut at 7.5 x 4.75
The Tag: Button 12 on the overlay, cut at 3.5 x 4.77
The Cutie Cow and her layers are cut at 2.75

Here's a better look at the tags:

To add some added texture to my tags I used Divine Swirls and Swiss Dots Cuttlebug Folders.
Another texture I used was Divine Twine.  I especially love the Twine I added to the Horse tag.
To finish the tags I added some doodling.

Hope you enjoyed my Critter Creation!
Don't forget to go to My Cricut Craft Room to see what my Design Team Sisters created.
